We could of been a bit smarter with the statement but this is not a news story, it's an opinion piece dressed up as news designed to make us look bad.

It's a statement of fact that we're legally not responsible for any claim against the oldco but we could of sounded more compassionate our reply.

Massive own goal by the club. They don’t put that in the release - no story!

I agree with this. We should have spoke with some dignity and respect and made it clear we will comply with any formal process

Instead we made ourselves look stupid by saying what we did.

Yep - pick and choose our history! Getting it in all directions - stupid from the club.

They didn’t put it in a release, it was corresponding to the victims lawyers.

They only stated the relevant body for which the victims lawyers will have to contact if they want to pursue a case.

So pointing out coverups of child abuse is point scoring?

You sure you want to say that?

Nope - the whole tone of this ‘debate’ is wrong! There is no place for abuse. Our club should have thought this through rather than trying to pass it off on old co! That’s embarrassing. And trying to say ‘you’re worse than us’ on this subject is the wrong approach by our fans.

Same thing - daft and not thought out!

Are they meant to lie to the lawyers, telling them that legal responsibility does fall with us but in reality the court won’t recognise it.

Whilst Rangers oldco are in existence then it falls upon them to answer it. If they no longer exists then I could see why responsibility might have to befall on the new body.

But on the whole we're not saying 'you're worse than us'. We're pointing out that there is media silence on Torbett and that Neely was far worse at other clubs but they are not named. The only club to report an abuser was Rangers but we are being targeted by the press, while they ignore the failings of the other clubs. If you refuse to see this then there's really no helping you.

They told the guy all the correct info, they offered him all the help he would need.

What more do want them to say??

“Thank you for getting in touch, we wholeheartedly wish to support you on this matter, we will be back in touch with the person you should liaise with regarding this as a matter of urgency “

sounds better than “different company “ response, no?

You know what I'm saying. Tarrier media, incompetent referees, you know they'll up the ante as 55 gets nearer .

Nope I don’t because unless they have a football team they won’t be able to stop us winning anything on the park.

That’s what they said, just because it isn’t in nice cuddly wording doesn’t change anything.

What is clear from this is that the media have an anti Rangers agenda. This should dispel any lingering doubt that even from the most sceptical supporter might of had.

It's the usual suspects the bbc, record, evening times and the herald.

What can we do about it?

Time to put this in laymans terms I think, say for example you buy a shop and it turns out one of the staff who worked for the previous owner was a nonce, should you pay compo to the victim or should the guy who employed him at the time? It's not rocket science

The club scored a massive own goal by trying to refer the whole thing to the liquidators! Stupid move. A simple regret and compliance statement was all that was needed but we look fucking daft trying to say it was nae is it was that other company. No wonder folk laugh at us!

Surely you can see that this is a hatchet job. It doesn't matter what Rangers said it is how the BBC report on us, The SNP have ruined this country.

Not really the point - it was handled badly by the club.

There has been plenty on the tv and in the press about both those bastards - but ‘we’only seem to notice our own! And that is paranoia.
