You’re in Saskatchewan mate? It’s the other game of football they play there where they use their hands. How that game is called football is beyond me. Anyway, where I live there is huge excitement about the World Cup.

Yes, I live in Saskatchewan, moved to Canada 6 years ago. My first  favourite team is Everton. When I was young I was big Dinamo Kiev fan, but not now.

In Canada I like Calgary Flames (NHL) and Edmonton Eskimos (CFL).

To me it sounds like a trouble. Imagine having your first game in North Canada, then you have to fly to Mexico for your second game. I know its a few hours flight, but it costs preparation, luggage moving, etc etc. And with players, already being tired of their 60-70 game season, i think this could only make things worse for the quality of football. Of course now some teams travel 2000+ km in Russia, but its only one country, and you dont get passport checks and so on. Mexicans first game will probably be delayed due to increased security control demand for their landing.

Surely it would be like Japan & Korea and you would play your group games (at least) in one country? So groups A-E play in Canada, groups F-K in USA & groups L-P in Mexico? 

Group P sounds ridiculous by the way.
