Murty fucked it by persistently playing him behind the striker.

All you needed

The Scottish Championship mostly. Went to Forest and seems to have failed to make the grade, then came to us and looked ordinary at best.

Not sure where we see a striker for us next season in that.

Even at Hibs though, took a couple chances before converting. Only stone cold finished I remember seeing from him was that chip over Wes in the 4-2 game.

He's the kind of player we need against the cockroach teams in the bottom half when the weather and pitches are brutal. Cup games too.

Play him in the correct position and with the right players and he'd win us games.

Got to be worth it at his age and price tag.

Capped for Scotland must be doing something right better than Morelos every day of the week .

As mad as it might sound I think he tried too much, instead of doing what comes natural to him he spent too much time focusing on doing everything else, didn't help being played out of position.

Think he did show enough to take a punt on at £600k though

Agreed. Don’t think it helped that no matter how much of a shocker Morelos had he was nearly always back in the team the next week. At times it felt like he was almost competing against Morelos rather than just focusing on his own game.

If we can really get him for 600k we’d be mad not to go for it, even if he’s only a squad players having a striker who knows where the back of the net is could be very valuable if we pick up a few injuries.

Not sure where to compare him with Morelos.

Only point Id make is that he doesnt let his head drop or throw a hissy fit when something doesnt go his way.

Nor does he take wee lashes at opposite players and risk a yellow or red.

Plus he is a cocky wee cunt and we havent had a player like that for ages to wind up opposition.

I really wanted him to do well for us as he seem’s a decent guy but sometimes you just have to admit when someone just isn’t good enough.

Agree with all of that

I thought he was trying a bit too hard when he got on tbh, the guy is a great finisher but he was chasing the ball deep too much to be in the right positions to score. I’d take him for 600k.

I’d like us to sign him. I’m not sure if we will though.

It does seem daft not to sign him, even if he's third choice. For £600k we know he can score in our League and Cup games, so why not?

I think it's relatively risk free. Good as an impact sub or as backup. £600k is nothing in football terms these days and would imagine we could sell him for more than that already

Think if it was gonna happen, It would be done by now, Gerrard maybe thinking he can bring in better, Wouldnt mind if he did end up signing but can only see him being a back up option, Do you think he will be happy on the bench most of the season?

This.

And as long as his wages weren't mental.
