Meanings that go hand on hand with many views you've expressed before, funnily enough. Nobody is saying everyone that was in the SS is scum, but those that aren't will distance themselves from the kind of symbolism you embrace. Because the symbol isn't inherently evil, but what it means in our context is if not inherently evil, then thoroughly against British, and decent, values. Values for which we fought against those that carried these symbols in the name of a mass murdering ideology. Nazism, that particular branch of fascism, has become inherently evil because of the deeds it's invenitors committed in it's name. If you attach yourself to that ideology then you attach to its guilt, which is different to being born into a nationality. But by all means, fly its symbols if it makes you feel real.
