Our canine compadres are so intelligent ..... and the speed they pick up how to do things is amazing ..... not accusing Bud .... but who ate the shortbread then? .... :p:

:UK:

I honestly don't know, but they were being used with another dog before Broxi, so my guess is no one mate.

Dogs are amazing animals. Love these updates:)

Probably not too long now before they find the right veteran STG (such a big strong dog will need to be carefully placed) so delighted to take any chance to catch up with Pam and Broxi, it is never a chore and always a pleasure.

Mrs Bru and I popped along to Erskine today to see Pam, Broxi and Fiona for a wee catch up at their normal training day.

If any of you watched the Countryfile Diaries prog above you will have seen one of the veterans have his dog get him his medication twice a day. Well he was at the training today and showed us how the dog does it, the dog responds to music which is set up on his phone alarm, the amazing thing was that he only responds to one song, the veteran played a few tunes and the dog did nothing, then when the trigger tune was payed he immediately went to a cupboard and picked up his wee bag with his meds and brought it to him. It was fantastic to see and just shows how much these dogs can help their veterans.

Now back to Broxi, he was also getting some new training today, he was sitting with 'human' food (small bits of shortbread) on his front paws (see pic) and asked to wait for a wee while and then given lots of praise and given a dog treat for not eating it  this is a way to stop him wanting food from his veteran or when out among people, I think this was his first go at it and as you can imagine was a star.

Erskine Bishopton had a surprise visitor today.

Broxi popped in to let the Erskine Bears know that they're all invited to the Ibrox Champions League Night.

As you can see, Dinger was over the moon at the news.

Well done Broxi!  Not bad for a novice.

But from what I hear, the training will only get more intense...

Yes GB, I think that was the Broxi boy's first go, it will get more difficult.

Surely it’s tough enough with shortbread. Why bring cake into it B H?! 😂

Don’t know if I mentioned to you that I ordered a fleece from BRAVEHOUND. My other half is now proudly wearing it.

Really good quality and good service too.

I bought one a few months ago as well and you are correct they are very good quality.

I wonder if you have the first one in Shetland.

Some new pics in from Pam over the last couple of days. Broxi has been weighed again and he now 37.4 kg and there is a pic of him and his sister Gaby when they were just pups.

Pam has had another wee dog staying and Broxi has been teaching it how to watch out the window.

Pam says now that the season is over Broxi is going to be watching some bowling since no Rangers games to watch on TV.

Also a nice pic of him at the Bravehound Centre and one of him and Pam's other dogs when he first arrived. He is now much bigger than them as we saw in the last lot of pics Pam sent.
