Glenn Middleton

Brillant to see middleton grab his chance, boy looks a great prospect, all the young boys were a credit, when they came on keeping the tempo going, the gaffer was pleased by them, he wont be afraid to play them, which is a great thing, well done zak rudden also, first of many for the first team hopefully.

To be fair, it won't always work this way, but we should take any money for Windass and play Middleton. If he continues developing, we then cash in on him and repeat.  Its about only way we will improve finances outside significant investment or continued loans.  He's done more in his two games so far than what Windass has, not the finished article but fans behind him more than spice boy.

Noise was unreal when he came on, and he in turn reacted to that and gave us a performance, pleasing to see although still early days with him

Shouldn't get ahead of ourselves

Don't think he'd be as effective at the start of games against fresh legs. He's still raw - I'd like to keep giving him 20 minute cameos

Couldn't agree more. No doubts there's huge potential with Middleton but we have to be patient and let him develop. 15/20 mins here and there and  a steady run in match day squads will do him fine for now. I'd hate for him to be thrown in too early, have a bad game and be setback.

On the flip side, how bad is it that with the size of squad we have and the money we've spent o er the last few years this young guy is the brightest and most exciting player we've got right now? Sad state of affairs to be honest.

He’s done well when he’s came on in the 2 games but can we only please remember the standard of opposition before we get over the top hopes for him? There’s no way he will get that much space against anyone in Scotland for a start

he deserves to play ahead of Windass or Candaies on Tuesday tho

This is my thinking too, he would strughle to keep that up for 90mins at this point.

Looks a cracking prospect though.
