Was considering doing something like "key passes" where only meaningful, creative passes are counted. Or say if Arfield completely splits a defence with a through ball which Candeias then taps across for Morelos to score. It's technically Candeias' assist but Arfield was the one who really created the chance, so he (or both) would get a key pass. And trivial "assists" where someone rolled a ball to someone 30 yards from goal who fires it top bin might not get something. I did it in the Warburton championship season and I updated it the whole season, usually within an hour after every game finished til the end. Someone else started one the season after I did it they must have not been up to the task.
