Embarrassing the police aren’t policing their fans to the game. It literally takes a google search to see the types of hooligans that follow them.

I would have thought after last week they would have been escorting them to the game. Seems nuts if they do not.

They’ll base it on where they think bets are likely to come in. Probability of victory is only a small amount of how odds are set.

Predicting the market is often an easier and more reliable way to profit. Bookies don’t gamble, punters do.

Agreed. When I'm pricing up a race, there's a lot more goes into it than ratings but they're a good starting point.  I use both speed figures (anyone remember Nick Mordin?) and ratings lifted directly from FlatStats or the BHA.  Then I adjust for course and distance, going, jockey, any allowances, time since last run, first-time blinkers etc.  That gives me my starting point percentages - mine are to 100%  If I can find better bookies' odds than my calculations, I bet.  The bookies must do something similar  for their opening prices, even if those prices then change dramatically due to big bets coming in.

But it still starts from a set of ratings.  Maybe the UEFA coefficients/ratings aren't much good but the bookies must be using something to get those opening prices together.  They'll have local experts to advise them but how do Jurij from Slovenia and Bob from Scotland know how well Slovenian football compares to Scottish?

Ufa 2-1 Progrès FT

Progrès score a late away goal in Russia.

As I said on another thread they were well worth it. Can't stress enough how underwhelmed I was by Ufa. Their defence was mince and the Progres midfielders danced right through their centre halves a couple of times. First goal was probably handball as well and the second was a pretty swift counter attack against the run of play.

Progres had a lot of familiar faces from last year. That big beardy midfielder got their goal with an eerily similar finish to one of the ones we conceded whipped in from the right flank. I think they are big favourites to go through next week based on what I saw today.

Bookmakers trader, Location Stoke-on Trent, has to be Bet365. Can you lift my betting restrictions, 50p on a treble is just not cutting it...

Club should be getting a statement out now.

”The club wishes to make clear that any chibbings of Eastern Europeans in the Ibrox area this evening are the sole responsibility of Police Scotland.”

All good mate, as long as the IEDs are Codex approved then we’re golden.

how can you no watch the game on the Rangers site? it's saying to go to maribor.Rangers.co.uk. seems a bit odd.
