I see this boy scored at Dens Park today.

He’s still putting them away despite coming up a division this season.

Could he do a job for us?

I doubt Ayr would be difficult to deal with as they probably be glad of the money.

This boy will go on to do well IMO.

There was a rumour he was being shown around the Rangers training ground last week.

Plenty of players get released from clubs and go on to prove that club wrong and have a good career, we have been guilty of it a few times

Was just about to post similar.

They do. although few get released and go onto bigger and better than the level they failed at.

Fuck me, he got released by Aberdeen for not being good enough, struggled at St Mirren and folk want us to sign him? ?

He didn’t struggle at st Mirren !!! They tried to sign him permanently. Yes it didn’t work out at the sheep but so what he was very young  and has come on leaps and bounds. Remember the last player we signed who had been released from Aberdeen he went on to Clyde .st Mirren then we signed him and he became a legend .....Ian Ferguson

Lots of players get released before bouncing back stronger

And as for Ayr not being hard to deal with, they’ve already rejected a £150,000 bid for him this month. Bollock to paying that sort of fee for someone who, again, was released by Aberdeen for not being good enough.

Have you seen him play?

Four goals in 24 games in his second loan spell is hardly excelling as a striker.

Ferguson was at Clyde from (at least) 15. A wee bit different to getting released at 22.
