We were nervous and tentative in almost everything we attempted, I suspect were gonna have to get used to this approach from other teams. Their hatred - and that's what it is - gives them the energy and determination to perform way above themselves when they play us, whilst they fold against other teams. Second half our back four and keeper constantly humping the ball pointlessly forward for Motherwell to mop it up and come forward. That's poorest 45 under Gerrard. Particularly when the defence were looking as shaky as they did today. A huge opportunity missed to put down a marker for the taigs game next week. Tactical naivety from Gerrard in the second half today, he'll learn from it I'm sure but every member of the squad and management team will need to be at the top of their games to come away from the piggery with a positive result. Getting into the EL group stages could be a mixed blessing due to the lack of depth. Don't think we can really cope with the possibility of injuries with the current squad.
