Have one look at the zigzag metal barrier the space to get into it and know it’s not safe and demand an alternative entry , lad at work today who was over to said the minute he seen a photy of the turnstile set up last week he knew what was coming so how does our security or SLO not ?

Not sure it's up to the club to demand how they organise the crowd over there, make a request aye but we can't go telling them what to do.

How do you know they didn't?

Their stadium is a category 4 UEFA ranked and you would think they could manage a big crowd.

If they did and sanctioned that disgrace they should be out of a fuckin job

If your right it’s certainly the club/Thomas cook that decides all the buses will arrive at this shambles at the same time to add to the mayhem

Thomas Cook aye, not sure how the club could tell every single bus load when to arrive.

Things don't always go according to plan though, mitigating factors outwith the control of the club can hamper the plans.

Entry to our end ,there was no other way whatsoever it could go , no one had a clue where the entry space to the zigzag barrier was , someone from Rangers should be visible to give us info , it was a shambles , 1 hour 5 minutes crushed trying to get in once we worked out how to get in , the minute anybody that’s been to a football match before saw our entry they’d know this is highly dangerous , not a fucking ounce of help or guidance before or during from the club , lads we were with summed it up together perfectly when it’s your free time to do what you want it’s a great day when you then start following the club and TC arrangements it’s a fucking shambles

It's easy to point the finger at the club but we don't know if any requests were made regarding safety of fans arriving, as the host team it should be up to Rapid and the Austrian police to manage fans arriving and getting them into the stadium safely.

They didn't manage the away crowd arriving and for me that's their fault, it's not like the rest of the stadium was jam packed.

Take your point about having staff members visible to assist.

We had some guys who left our boozer at 3:15pm to try and avoid the march etc and 2 of them got to ground and chucked it, other 3 went in. Me and my mate stayed in boozer til 5:15pm to try the other tactic of going AFTER everyone and we got a tram to the north side of the ground and walked along and down, we got in with 10 minutes to spare and at that point the crowd outside was a little bit better at that barrier. I'd hate to have thought what it would have been like with the majority of the marchers heading in.

Those who were there know how avoidable and precarious the situation was. Yet to speak to anyone there who didnt have genuine concerns.

A march with hundreds arriving together at one time. 3 flight loads of bears all bussed at the same time, arriving at the same time. One snaking system as a queuing filter which was not only wholly inadequate but poorly signposted for which particular  turnstiles.  All the above bears entering this one dimly lit area, along with all others with independent travel tickets, no tickets or counterfeit tickets.

We have a security team designated to iron out these types of issues in advance. If they didn't foresee them, they failed. If they didn't demand suitable alternative arrangements were made, they failed. If they did but were ignored then I think it's important that is fed through to the fans. It appears this is far from an isolated event, something needs to change.

Would be nice to hear the outcome of a debrief of what happened, why and what can be done in future to prevent a repeat with possibly a tragic outcome.

More I think about it, the club did know, the images of the barriers were in the travel advice emailed to us prior to travel.

I was talking to a lad at work today that was over we both remember seeing the barriers picture before going but couldn’t remember where , if it was Rangers on social media or the SLO

For me, it was the generic email from the SLO with the link to the club site.
