At last someone has included Sandy Jardine at R.B.

MID

Gascoigne, Laudrup, Albertz, B Ferguson, McCall, Souness, Van Bronckhorst, De Boer.

2000 or so onwards

Goalkeeper- Klos, McGregor, Waterreus

Defender- Ricksen, Hutton, Weir, Cuellar, Bougherra, Moore, Papac, Numan

Midfield- Ferguson, Thomson, Albertz, Van Bronchorst, Arteta, McCann, De Boer, Lovenkrands

Forwards- Prso, Jelavic, Boyd, Novo

Keepers, first 2 are obvious and we've not really had another standout in that time. Defence the full backs pick themselves, prefer Ricksen in midfield but that area is much stronger. Only need 4 CBs cos Papac can cover there. Was a choice between Moore, Amoruso and Boumsong for the final CB spot but Moore gets it for me. Midfield was pretty easy for me .Thing that stood out was the lack of good right wingers we've had for the last 20 years or so. Couldn't think of anyone, closest I got was Naismith before he got injured(lol). Strikers was the toughest. Came down to Arveladze, Miller and Novo even though the other 2 are better players I went for Novo because other than Lovenkrands ad McCann there's not much pace in that squad

Team would probably be

Klos

Hutton Cuellar Bougherra Numan

Ferguson Van Bronchorst Albertz

De Boer

Prso Boyd

McCann is a winger and mild a striker though

When did we sign Mild?

Take them both to be honest if it's squad

Loved then both

Only think McCann gave us 4 brilliant years and some of the best days of my footballing life

99 championship winning game

99 Scf versus scum and treble

2002 Sc final classic and double

2003 treble win

He has to be in everyone's team surely for me

Yeah spot on 52

Wish we were as spoiled for choice in attacking positions nowadays

Mols was amazing for many reasons .He was deadly in his first season before he got injured

He did come back well for me ,maybe lost a yard downstairs but he still had it upstairs

Really difficult. Probably would change my mind if did it again tomorrow.

                             Goram

Stevens      Gough      Kuznetzov     Numan

Laudrup   Gascoigne  I Ferguson   Cooper

                    McCoist   Hateley

Bench - Klos, Butcher, Robertson, McCall, Durrant, Albertz, Prso

442 is formation I associate with us at our most succesful. Not necessarily my favourite formation but that is why I chose it. Kuznetzov might seem an odd choice as he didn't do that much with us before injured - but he strolled through first few games on another planet and was genuinely one of the best centre backs in the world when we signed him so can't really leave him out. Bit tough guys like van Bronckhorst, Mols, Jelavic, de Boer etc not making the bench but I reckon my midfield is not bad. And can't really split McCoist and Hateley they were immense for us.

Surprised Gabby Amato or Kanchelskis isn't in anyone's list . Always seemed to like them but i suppose that period our midfield was fucking awesome! Also Niemi, felt sorry for him having Charbonnier to compete with.

But overall this sort of, this as mentioned above makes you realise (if your over 20) how shite the last 6 years have really been. Would you pick any of them to be in your best 11? Perhaps Morelos in a couple of years (McGregor doesn't count as its his 2nd stint).

Looks good, only change I would make is Davie Weir for Craig Moore but that's being bloody picky.

As I first went to Ibrox in 1962 thus is going to very difficult.

Scot Symon’s dominant team, the Barcelona Bears, Jock Wallace’s two treble winning squads, the Souness Revolution, Walter’s nine-in-a-row legends, Advocaat’s purring football outfit...

23 players from that list? Ill get back to you in about a week.

And it won't be next week....Baxter, Willie Johnston, Greig, Davie Smith, Sandy.....a long list of greats for sure.

Born in 1994 but I can hardly remember 9 in a row so from the start of Advocaats tenure.

Basing this on ability (and who I had a soft spot for) rather than contribution

McGregor, Charbonnier, Niemi

DF

Porrini, Weir, Amoruso, Moore, Cuellar, Numan

MF

Reyna, Tugay, Albertz, Van Bronckhorst. McCann, De Boer, Caniggia, Kanchelskis

FW

Mols, Jelavic, Cousin, Amato, Lovenkrands, Prso

That's a CL winning squad right there all in their prime.  I'd probably agree with yours, although I'd try and squeeze McCann in somewhere.  RdB was more of an attacker for us aswell, certainly his best season (2002/03) he was anyway.  That squad right now would be worth a lot of fucking money.

I'm going to assume you're a younger guy, since Laudrup and Gazza aren't in there, but how the fuck can you have Charbonner injured after half a season in 1998 if that and then hardly played again and Niemi who had his best spell in Scotland playing for another team before Stefan Klos?  Absolute madness.  A CL winning goalkeeper.  Only Andy Goram sits ahead of him in my lifetime.
