I think some are already getting carried away. Rather than placing expectations on him, just let him develop (and accept he'll have poor performances too). plumbGER

Yip I agree mate, said this a few weeks ago. Maybe wee Flecky's love child ha. Loved Fleck as a player, would be worth a fortune nowadays. WATP-FOREVER 5,231
They're similar, because they are both top prospects. Love Middletons directness - gets the ball, head down and away he goes. Brilliant player.

the old guard 2,321
Fleck was more of a central player, good finisher, Middleton is more a wide player who looks to get to the bye line at every opportunity, same stature but that's probably about it. When he was a kid coming through at Rangers he was scoring plenty in the youths (two crackers v them in a 5-0 rout at Hampden spring to mind), just looking on Wiki there he has only scored 16 career goals in 287 appearances, that surprised me as I thought it would have been more. He’s a deeper midfielder now than he was when we had him mate, doing really well for Sheffield United from what I seen. Their fans think he’s amazing and he won player of the year not long ago. hammer93 15,056
Both Fleck & Middleton have been at Rangers &Norwich....that's the only thing they have in common in my eyes.
Laudrupsleftfoot 10,780
Took his goal well yesterday but he will need to improve ten-fold as a player in my opinion to make it for us, which he has time to do. At the minute he's reminding me of wylde never mind fleck.

TheMotor 2,208
The way he runs at full backs reminds me of John Robertson at Forest more than anyone else. He'll need to develop his right foot a bit though if he's ever going to end up as good an all-round player.
