Great song. I'd bet though that it's another that the hand-wringers in this country would slag off as something that has no place these days while they have no problem allowing the scum to sing their traitor songs as nationalist pride.

Grace, a sorrowful but soaring Irish republican ballad, features on the album after the 73-year-old heard it sung by celtic fans.

But he accepts it might be seen as a “controversial” choice.

“It’s not really an IRA song and was written in the Eighties,” he explains.

Except it is...

Straight out the snp book of ' freedom fighters ' .

The IRA attacked our country in the most cowardly way imaginable. They left a bomb in a trash bin outside McDonald's in Warrington, then scurried off to detonate it. It wasn't an attack on soldiers, or even on adults. It was an attack on children, and this is undisputed.

So, with that in mind, anyone who supports, cooperates or does anything other than condemn the IRA can be seen for what they are.. Collaborators.

As for singing songs praising the child murderers, what the fuck next?.. The ballad of Myra and Ian?

Aye , but his kids like it .

Said in another thread . That's when he was a Man U fan . Went downhill after that .

The auld fart released an album in 1977 with a lyric that showed his leanings towards both clubs. Could never play that song so anything before that he was doing relatively ok.  Ever since he's been a fuck up.

And getting back on track for the op it was probable Rod who had the flag made. Confused auld prick that he is

He's gone through the lot . Remember he was a big Scotland fan at one point ? That was in between his Man U and c.....c era .

Blows with the wind , or whatever will give him the greatest financial benefit .

The cunt hasn't put out a decent tune since the mid-70s. Everything else has been warblings to make a buck. Crap albums, loads of oldie re-hashes, the great American Songbook ffs. As you say, anything to make money. The great unwashed will be filling his coffers no matter the product.

Yip , mid 70's with the Faces and Maggie May . He could never match them after that .

Now he's reduced himself to singing ' Irish freedom songs ' to try and capture those bygone days . Sad , but now all he's doing is prostistuning himself like a has been to the gullible .

It's a song about a woman that married a cunt that was about to be executed for being part of the Easter uprising

A shower of shitebags that only decided to start an uprising because the real men and women of the island were off fighting a fucking war

Spot on both of you.  He's an absolute disgrace and should be stripped of his knighthood.  He wouldn't know the meaning of the word British. He's just a messed up,  rebel appeasing wanker.

I cannot stand him.

Might of been rod stewart that auld tadger was on the tele earlier  waving his knighthood about saying how proud he was of being british.

Saying that he did quantify (I presume for his East end followers) that the award wasn’t from the Royal Family, rather from the people of Britain... No problem Rod, anytime lol... Did you also notice his c*eltic necklace, laughable...

I walked out when Roger Waters said his crap at the Hydro , but that is nothing compared to what my mate said about RS's gig about 10 years ago when they had Jimmy Johnstone's pictures everywhere . They felt they were being made a fool of and walked out despite looking forward to it .

I never even tried to see Waters after what I had read about him. Loved him and Pink Floyd growing up aswell but the cunt has ruined it.
