Docherty has been a revelation  at Salop. High energy, neat tidy distribution and a genuine goal threat from midfield, we love him. MOM against both Sunderland and Barnsley in the last two home games. Looks to be enjoying his football and will definitely play at a higher level than us, and deservedly so. He won’t escape the attentions of Championship scouts who always attend our games.

Would be a strange situation that we signed him, sent him out on loan and then sold him off at a profit to Championship team.

Think he'll probably want to play for us in Europe over some shitty championship club

His passing and decision making was an abomination.

He's young though, so maybe he can be improved.

It wasn't at Hamilton though, I think he just wasn't prepared for the task of playing for us at the time.

Whether he ever is remsins to be seen.

Young Doc has a great engine, attitude, dream etc but I would be surprised if he ever becomes good enough to be Rangers quality. he does however have age on his side so I could end up wrong. Gets better with every Shrewsbury game..... Doubt he will  be better than Arfield, Jack or Dorrans and never in the mold of Ferguson, McCall etc if only to name Scottish midfielders. ( yes I know Arfield technically a Canuck )

In Scotland we need to outfight every team before we can outplay them. Many great Rangers sides had a workhorse, and that might be where Docherty slots in. He has a great attitude and engine, and seems to be doing very well on loan and could still be a good option for us.

No one really knows how he would do here with the right coaching and players around him.

Looks like he is doing well on loan, so we should probably just wait and see how things go instead of writing off anyone who didn't play well under Pedro and Murty, but seem to have excelled every where else.

Every team needs someone like that so imo the least we could do is give him a season under Gerrard to see if he does a Halliday, if he comes up short then move him on but he may well come up trumps.

I always got the impression he was trying too hard when he was playing for us. Sounds daft I know but it was as if he wasn't playing his regular game. For example he would close down and win possession well, but always seemed to go for the Hollywood pass at the end rather than the simple one. Just wee things like that I picked up on.

Dunno about that, kirk broadfoot has a uefa cup runners up medal, and all he had was graft, we have had many many players throughout the years who covered their lack of ability through sheer graft that the opponents couldnt match

What about Edu then? He didn't even have graft.
