 What the actual fuck?

So by his reckoning if sheep only sold 5,000 tickets then a national cup semi final should be moved to the wee subbuteo stadium that is McDairmid Park

Oh wait, I forgot about sporting integrity.

Cunt must be at the wind up.

Interesting concept selling tickets without knowing which stadium will host it given it wouldn't be known how many tickets would be sold ?.

Could offer to have it at pittodrie next time at a time and date of their choice and they'd still find excuses.

Nothing the football "authorities" in this country do/come up with surprises me anymore. Shower of incompetent  wallopers the lot of them.

Both the sheep and spfl have been an absolute riddy all along in this semi final fiasco. Scottish football an absolute laughing stock yet again.

Suppose the sheep's pathetic ticket sales are understandable to be fair.............who goes to a football match to be ran over, spat at and pished on

They've fucked it big time

ABERDEEN could struggle for future equal ticket splits for showpiece cup games after the SPFL took back 5,000 briefs for the Betfred Cup semi and gave more to Rangers.

Dons chiefs demanded a 50-50 division for the Hampden showdown — only to admit yesterday that they have only sold 9,000 of their 20,300 allocation.

That’s despite the kick-off time on October 28 being switched from noon to 4.30pm.

It’s understood Gers have been given an additional 3,000-plus batch for sale from today.

Dons fans who have already bought tickets may be forced to move to other parts of Hampden as part of the reallocation.

SunSport understands the SPFL have been far from impressed and will take it into account with allocations if Aberdeen reach the Betfred Cup Final and future semi-finals and finals.

Across the Hampden corridor the SFA will also have noted it regards the Scottish Cup.

A statement said: “With just over a week to go until our Betfred Cup semi-final against Rangers at Hampden Park just over 9,000 tickets have been sold to The Red Army.

“Despite strong initial sales, particularly from our supporters’ clubs, overall ticket sales for the match have fallen short of the demand expected.

“Given current sales figures, with the SPFL recording less than 100 being sold by Aberdeen FC today, the SPFL have now taken back certain sections of the East Stand.

“In return, the SPFL will issue the club with an additional allocation of seats in the South Stand Upper and Lower tickets.”

Dons boss Derek McInnes said: “There seems to be more focus on the tickets, kick-off time and all the rest of it than there is on the game.

“Hopefully we can sell as many tickets as we can between now and kick-off.”

Tbf that's just regurgitating what's already known, plus the assumption of the journalist re future ticketing which is pretty much what we're all assuming too.

Hopefully quotes or statements re future ticketing strategies will come from the SFA and spfl confirming smaller clubs won't be able to rip the piss or cost money via non sales whilst thousands looking for tickets. That's what will show they've really fucked it for themselves.

I expect we'll see some kind of official statement soon enough from SPFL and SFA.

Hoping this continues to backfire on the sheep.

Did the sheep ask for half the allocation which is 17.5k roughly?

The league gave us 20.5k and the sheep 15k.....That's 16k of tickets for sponsors and hospitality....the majority will end up in the hands of bears.

Taking 5k back from them will mean 2k going spare for segregation, by those figures their should be around 38k bears at the game which is still good, no doubt the sheep have fucked themselves for future games especially semi-finals,  they could argue they sold all their allocation for the 2 previous finals but fuck them....these games are the showpiece and should be played in sold out venues....empty seats make it look tin pot which ain't fair on our club.
