Gerarrds Fault

Did nothing to change things when it was clear Flanagan was getting raped every time they attacked his side of the pitch, or when Coulibally yet again was running through treacle after 25 minutes, or when Ejaria decided that because his mate Kent wasn't playing tonight he wasn't going to bother trying to pass to a blue jersey at all.

Huge opportunity missed tonight against as poor a defence as you'll see at this level, other than ours.

I really don't want to hear in his post match interview about how they're going to learn from this, it's clear that lessons are just not being learned and it's a real worry now.

I'm not saying there's no positive's with Gerard so far, but he's cost us the match tonight. I can't understand why he brings subs on so late, limiting any impact they could have, he keeps doing this and doesn't appear to be learning! He needs to stop chopping and changing CH's as well as its destroying any understanding between them. Gutted tonight as they were clearly there for the taking....

Tell us what defence you would’ve played in place of the one he did??

Worral is just as bad as Katic.

Him and Flanagan most at fault for me.

Gerrard plays Flanagan but must know he's dreadful at LB. Keep a him on at HT and he costs us again.

No taking the front foot with subs, then leaves it 15 mins after the sucker blow to change.

The chop change nature of his team selections is costing us continuity which breeds confidence.

Gerrard again must take significant blame.

I’ve put plenty of blame on Gerrard recently but to be honest the players have to take most of the blame tonight. Yes he should have made changes earlier so has to be criticised (again) for that, but he set us up tactically and we scored 3 goals away from home that should have been enough to win. The defence (mainly Flanagan but none of them deserve many sort of praise) let him and us down big time.

He certainly has responsibility for team selection, tactics and subs.   He has to take share of the blame.

How's it going mate. Long time since Florence..Thought we were ok in spells tonight but made some horrendous defensive mistakes.

Ive seen some bad knee jerk reactions on here but this take the pish.

Aye Flanagan was shite, so were the other defenders. Who would all the part time managers on here have played instead? Deflections, goals cut off etc was not the managers fault.

We will be starting again every season with a nee manager at this rate with cunts on here.

Gerrard has been asking for this for a long time and don't take this the wrong way, but Gerrard needs to be put under more pressure to see if he can handle it, because he has been making line up mistakes after mistakes and favouring certain players, his choice to drop Worrel for Katic sums Gerrard up, Katic is too young, slow, cumbersome and coupled with Flanagan..well.

Sadly nothing is going to change until the window .

Its either that or we will have to replace about 10 players every year, rock and a hard place?.

Gerrard's been great so far, however he's still learning. His biggest issues just now relates to him not really affecting the game after it's started. He needed to hook Flanagan, he didnt change up the team until it was too late.
