Scott Arfield

Not a big fan of creating threads about individual players all the time but I think Arfield has proven me wrong big time.

At the start I was struggling to actually see what he does. Summed him up as just a busy player.  Then when he was injured I realised we actually miss him a lot when he’s out.

But today and the past couple of games you can see he’s the one midfielder prepared to run beyond Morelos, he’s done it a lot the past couple of games and got his goal in the first half with some brilliant play.

Good few goals and assists this season, definitely busy but I don’t think I gave him enough credit for what he actually does.

Just has to keep chipping in every game or two with an assist or goal consistently especially if Morelos is having an off day

He's an excellent player but is being expected to do more due to the inconsistency of others around him I think.  On his day Arfield is a brilliant player.  Would love to see him and Dorrans fit and playing together as I think that and Jack sitting in front of the back 4 would brilliant.

I can see why people have been a bit disappointed at times, but he is literally the only midfield player we have that is capable of running past the striker. He is intelligent, finds space, gets beyond the striker, links up with Morelos well and has now scored 5 goals.

Maybe but we need another midfielder to be the ultimate playmaker.
