Deserves to go down as a club legend.

Stayed with us during the dark times, despite having to play at a much lower level than he's capable of, for tiny wages compared to what he'd get elsewhere, while constantly getting slated by our own fans. All so he could play for the gers, a club he clearly cares a lot about.

Legend.

Sfunny what we think a legend is nowadays

never lifted a cup or spfl trophy, never contributed to a successful Rangers trophy laden team, never part of a successful European campaign and spent far too long injured

Legend aye for not leaving (remember he only one tentative offer - from Wolves)

and you don’t know his wages btw.

Wonder how many of the folk you'd consider legends cared about the club enough to go through what Wallace did. None I'd imagine

You must be a teenager mate or that question would never enter your head.

Wallace did what he did for himself not his employer. So why didn’t he tupe over then allow us to flog him? Instead of staying on on what I’d imagine would be a senior players wage? (Kevin Kyle admitted to being on 8k a week) so a comparison to Wallace is a fair assumption

You must be a taig if you don't have massive, massive respect for Wallace. Literally tanked his career to stay with us during our darkest of years.

Players can become legends on more than just ability. Wallace deserves to be one.

I have a feeling joey barton will go in for him in summer.

He's very likely to go back to Hearts. Guy's always been a homebody (to the extent that he's not even keen on moving to England) and has just had another kid so will be even more keen to stay locally.

That’s poor mate. Straight in with the taig patter. Ffs

so you would class Wallace alongside Sandy Jardine, John Greig and Johnny Hubbard? (To name a few)

a player who was part of a team that couldn’t win the championship at first time of asking? Who looked like he was pulling a cart half the time but woo hoo he tup’d over because he had nowhere else to go.

Wallace was bang average has one leg and should have been sold in the summer to free up his wage and contribute to the pot.

Not necessarily.

Would you class Barry Ferguson or Gascoigne or Hateley or next to them?

No

The two no’s are considered legends, why can’t Wallace be?

More to being a legend than ability and trophies.

Aye - he's quite invested in it too. He's definitely one of those players that will move right into coaching the second he retires.
