You do have a valid point plumbGER and to be truthful I would normally agree with you wholeheartedly but, in this situation with us going for 55 and what with the league being so tight I would

have to go with a proven goalscorer like Defoe, his experience in major games and his record for scoring is there for all to see, I am sure that Ryan's time will come and he will learn more

by having Defoe as a team mate.

There's no way he will be in the first team picture for us this season.

I agree, he'll be working with us during the winter break then going back to Livi.  In the Summer, if he scores a decent amount of goals by then, he could have a place here but he has a long way to go to prove he can handle being a first team player for us

No mate, that's not the rules I am using because Defoe could have been playing and scoring for Bournemouth if he was good enough.

It would be class if Defoe outscored him though cos I think that would fire us to 55.
