Defoe's Wages

Never paying all his wages. It's well documented he was on around that figure at Bournemouth. And we made a big deal out of thanking them in the press for their help in securing the loan same with Davis. We may be paying a lion's share but certainly not even close to that.

Daily Record report....qualifying part of the report is “it’s claimed Rangers are paying £65k”.  So no qualification, no source and no evidence.  Clickbait and quite possibly mischief making shysters trying to upset our dressing room reported as “news”.  You can file under shite.

More taig pish talk, had one foaming at the mouth at me over the New Year about us cheating again and we can’t afford this or that and going into huge debts.

Me laughing at him and dropping in mentions of child abuse wasn’t helping him calm down mind you.

Allen and Gerrard have went out of their way to extend huge thanks and gratitude to Bournemouth for their role in this. I don't think you'd do that if you were simply taking over a players full contract. Also, 65k a week , almost quarter of a million every month. In Scotland? Aye very good...........

The original report was in the Times. In fact, the report in the Record even links it back to the Times' story. 🤣

Folk looking to be upset by something. Pyoor big bad Record quoting a story run by an English paper
