It’s got a draw all over this

You could be right there.   In a way the low-key performance sort of encourages a thought that maybe that's what SG has told them to do...……...make sure you don't concede but don't get ambitious about scoring.   Long diagonal (useless) balls that give the appearance of sorts of trying but are really just a way of running down the clock.      That could never be the plan...….could it?

I’ve saw Davis creating plenty for us and Northern Ireland down the years.

17 assists over the last 10 years in all competitions hardly screams out a creative player.  pretty sure morelos and/or tavernier will beat that tally this season alone

The Jack and McCrorie problem isn’t going to go away outside of the biggest games. There’s a reason we can only knock it wide and hope Kent can do something, or Tav can pick out Defoe. For every Pittodrie or old firm performance you get with this midfield you’ll get three of these against lesser, compact opposition.

Yes especially with Halliday starting instead of Barasic

That’s twice Defoe has grabbed the ball for the pen and twice Tav has missed

He shouldn't be grabbing it and perhaps it is putting pressure on Tav. He didn't miss one until Defoe came into the picture.
