Maybe - just maybe - the battling experience of SG might be enough to instil the sort of 'fuck it we're under siege' attitude needed for the replacement players and the rest of the squad to dig a whole fucking lot deeper and produce the sorts of ruthless match-winning gritty performances we will need.   I don't imagine SG is best pleased with the bans being dished out and I'd expect his team talks to be laced with enough menace and edge for the players to get fighting fit for games.   The Support also need to do even more to lift the battle mentality needed in the team.    

Fuck the football establishment in Scotland.   We know their game and we need to show we can win despite their agenda.

In a PR war we are fighting against machine guns and grenades with water pistols and whoopee cushions and have been for going on a decade now, there are signs we are getting stronger in this department, on the park we are growing and getting stronger by the year imo, off the park much work is needed.

That's a fair point mate and well put tbh

We just need to start thinking outside the box more often .Our club should be siting so many of these comparisons and questioning this abortion of a compliance officer system for starters

The SFA took four years to convince FIFA to allow it to introduce the system amid the world governing body’s reluctance to overturn referee’s decisions. Tbh if we can't beat St. Johnstone and Hamilton with Defoe and Lafferty as our strikers then frankly we don't deserve to win the league.

Same applies to Foderingham, he's more than good enough to play in those two games.

Whether the bans were merited or not is a completely different matter obviously, nevertheless we shouldn't be relying so much on Morelos and McGregor.

The point that’s getting missed here is Madden clearly sees the incident and the only way the ban stands is if the officials miss it. 

Either Maddens a lying bastard in plain view, or the SFA have just missed that convienent fact out and decided to ban him anyway. 

Either way it’s an agenda driven decision.

Normally I would agree but it only gets to this stage if the ref says he didn't see it in full so Madden has already passed the buck. I don't think he will get banned anyway, it's inconclusive. You can't slide in your side with feet on the floor it's not natural. He also wasn't looking at the player and won the ball

both have done worse earlier on and not been banned at a time when SG was saying the refs weren’t being fair to Rangers. Yet as soon as we go quiet and get 1 dubious penalty awarded to us the media overdrive has a massive influence on the decisions we will or won’t get between now and the seasons end.  It’s so predictable what would happen, someone on here mentioned the tims rolling out some no mark to issue a statement and guess what. Tom Boyd comes out with bolloks about wanting refs to say if they’re in the masons and potentially wanting foreign refs employed.

Yes, and even thought we've got players who in every likelihood will miss 5 games it will continue to happen. I called it weeks ago, and said the momentum against us in the press would grow and we would continue to get more yellow and red cards and retrospective decisions to make our key players miss more games. It's only going to get worse as the pressure on the scum grows.

It's a dirty PR war and they are masters of it. 

Whipping up a media frenzy to influence decisions and put pressure on officials. Yesterday showed it's working as the SFA caved. 

Its time to go on the offensive. Play them at their own game. Demand explanation from the SFA and highlight every decision that shows double standards. Use the contacts down south the gaffer has to show the sheer bias we compete under to the English media. 

Until we do that this dignified silence will mean no level playing field for us.

What is the situation with appealing this? are we able to or is it set in stone and that's it?

McGregor I have no doubt on an appeal but Morelos I in all honesty can't see changing.
