First Rangers game you attended?

Recommended Posts

And the most vivid memory of it?

I'll start. Advocaats first season. Home game in Europe against Paok Salonika.

All I seem to remember was anytime we had the ball everyone shouting 'there he is' wanting Kanchelskis to get on the ball. Govan Rear as well. won 2-0 I'm sure with Kanchelskis scoring.

3-2 v Hearts round about 1970 . Three nil up , Hearts pull two back and all I remember was Peter McCloy , who hadn't long signed , pulling off a full length save near the end .

Home Champions League qualifier v FC Haka in 1999. Remember seeing the Hammer in the flesh for the first time, and the fact we were wearing the best-looking kit in my lifetime 👍 won 3-0.

PSG at Ibrox in 2001, finished 0-0. Only thing I can really remember was Ricksen getting sent off.

Just looking at the PSG team from that night. Pochettino, Heinze and Ronaldinho all played, didn't realise Pochettino was playing.

around 58 years ago. I was 7 or 8. It was at Ibrox, seats in the main stand Rangers v Kilmarnock a 2 - 2 draw. A man gave me an orange.

(not sure why my Father went for the main stand as he was not well off)

Mccoists testimonial against Newcastle. Pretty sure he came out on crutches wearing a terrible suit and i think Andy Cole scored for the Toon.

Had done the tour of Ibrox earlier in the week and thanks to a family friend who had arranged it I was given a pair of goalie gloves signed by Andy Goram, my absolute hero at the time. I remember that moment far more than the game itself funnily enough.

Dundee United beating us 3-2 at Ibrox. 16th August 1986. It's the first game i remember, anyway. McCoist got our two.

Most vivid memory was Ian Redford running into the net celebrating their winner with arms held wide right in front of me sat in the Broomy.

First one I can really remember is 18th March 1981 we got pumped 4-1 by Dundee Utd at Ibrox, loads before that but can’t really remember them well for some reason.

Against Dinamo Moscow early 2000s I think is what I remember but my dad said I’d been to some in the 90s which I don’t remember.

1978 Ibrox against Aberdeen, I remember eating Opel fruits and sitting I think on a wooden bench or seat?

I remember trying to take a stick with me and my prick dad not letting me in the car with it and putting me in a mood all day.

Was only two or three years old so that’s literally all I remember about it.

Rangers 2-0 Kilmarnock October 15th 1994. Sat in the brown seats in Broomie rear. Biggest memory that stands out was the sheer noise. When the teams came out Id never heard anything like it...until we scored

Posted it before but I was spoiled. Rangers v Juventus 1978 First Round of European Cup. 2 nil win Alec McDonald and Gordon Smith. Standing in the front of the East Enclosure.

I can still remember all the way home my Grandad going on about how Rangers just beat a Juve team with 10 Italian international's in its team.

1968.

New record £100,000 signing from Hibs, Colin Stein makes debut with a hat trick against his old club as Rangers win 6-1.

Remember thinking it must be like this every week....
