He has been excellent in his career playing off a partner. That’s the facts- look them up Why the fuck are we expecting him to do us a favour when he’s up there on his own. It was plain to see today he played back to goal looking for a decent runner doing the business as a number 10. We didn’t set up today for that to happen. Morelos makes his own plays. It is for the manager to set up to to suit Defoe's strengths, otherwise no point n bringing him in. Play to Defoe’s strengths and he’ll get you goals. It looks like he's done. He will still pop up with a finish like at Aberdeen now and again because striking a ball well will never leave him, but he's struggling like fuck to find any space and that's not because of how we're playing.
