Don't see him leaving as a good thing for us. He only did what he was expected to do.

Maybe deserves a little credit for the fact that niether of his predecessors won a treble with no credible opposition, but all he's really done is come first in a one horse race.

If they get in a manager who can actually make their financial advantage count on the pitch, this could be bad for us.

Reality is he'll be considered though as that mob love the whole celtic minded thing. Would definitely be a step backwards for them imo though. Failing to win a treble is more of a damning indictment on the duds who were in the post especially the state we were in.

The economic advantage they have is real for sure, its another thing altogether making it count. The players they can push the boat out for are maybe in the 6-7 million pound bracket and that in no way guarantees quality anymore, to do that you have to pay more than 10 million usually. If we spend what we have wisely then we will match them. I think that is one of the reason Rodgers left as well as the fact that he got a rude awakening a fortnight ago against Valencia at parkhead. That game made him realise that the squad he had was miles away from being able to play his style and be successful against even a decent European team.
