When I saw the incident on Friday night that thought crossed my mind. Tav to get a ban or fined by the SFA/SPFL and/or a formal charge of assault for pushing the junkie prick.

When plod arrived on the scene I actually thought for a split second that he thought about huckling Tav,and then thought the ref (shite ref btw) thought about booking him.

On bbc one they showed the two English incidents and then mentioned "there was also an incident in Scotland, moving swiftly on.". Seems fair and balanced.

On match of the day?

If I was a 'sports reporter' :mutley:

My contrasting headlines woulda been...
jakey tramp in green and grey stripes, tries to steal junkies carry out in leith.
and the other woulda been.
Rangers player and Captain could have died when junkey hivs fan tried to mug him,but the courageous Captain stood up to the cunt and faced him down, wherein he started screaming to be saved.

i dont think 14 wks is a reasonanble deterrent  out in 7 wks prpbably  cunts like that should be given a far longer sentence

I'm not so sure they get out automatically after serving half the sentence down there. Imo 3 months jail time (all to be served) is appropriate.

A Hibs fan has admitted breach of the peace after confronting Rangers captain James Tavernier during the teams' Premiership meeting on Friday.

Cameron Mack, 21, climbed over the advertising hoarding at Easter Road and kicked the ball away from the defender.

He pleaded guilty to breach of the peace at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday and will be sentenced next month. He was banned from all football matches in Scotland.

Mack, from Port Seton, admitted acting in a disorderly manner, kicking the ball away, approaching Tavernier and acting in aggressive manner.

The court heard both men pushed each other several times before a steward and police intervened.

Defence solicitor Stuart Carson said his client had no previous convictions and asked for bail.

Sheriff Adrian Cottam agreed to the request, but said: "The nature of the offence has caused a lot of discussion and concern and is a serious matter."

The Premiership match on Friday night finished 1-1.

Aye that Tav is at fault here eh ! Bhastards. But it also points out 'several times' before stewards or polis turned up ? So they didn't do their job properly, JT could've been stabbed by the time they did their jobs, incompetent cunts.

That’s disappointing.  Where is the deterrent (apart from his name and agrees now being widely known to local nutters who might want to seek him out - I definitely do not advocate anyone doing that of course)

Compare this to the latest Scottish one who admits breach, sentenced in 4 weeks and bail.

Or worse from the SCF:

A Hibs fan who tried to punch Rangers player Lee Wallace during the pitch invasion that followed last year's Scottish Cup Final has avoided jail. Dale Pryde, 20, admitted climbing over fencing before running towards Mr Wallace at Hampden Park. He also pled guilty to punching a Rangers fan and hitting another with a chair. Pryde, of Greendykes, Edinburgh, was ordered to wear a tag for three months and carry out 250 hours of unpaid work.

Wonder how Humza Useless will spin this one.
