EPL it's time to go

Other way we may escape is if the other European countries/clubs say same passport, same league. So the 4 Home countries become 1.So national team is England+Bale&Ramsay.

They would maybe like us down there but not the anti everycunt mob across the road .

Don't need us though so doubt it'll ever happen .

I do wish we'd applied to the EFA in 2012 when we had to register and the scum up here were drooling at our demise .

I could live without playing any of them ever again

There's rules in place that allow clubs to start higher up the pyramid based on criteria such as facilities, financing etc iirc.

Wonderful but there's no way we would be able to skip through the rest of the pyrimid the other clubs wouldn't vote to allow us in.

Never say never to some form of league reconstruction, whether throughout the UK or throughout Europe.     Just for the sake of speculation maybe a time comes within a generation or so where the stodge of the same 4 - 6 clubs in England vie for the trophies every year and the rest are firmly also-rans.   Financially buffered also-rans but nevertheless trophyless also rans with only the comfort of money to gaze at while the sileverware is shared among a very elite few.    If enough echoes of the same happen across enough European leagues and the end product is a form of tiers of football where only the super-elite ever win anything then the game withers before the supporters as if there is no credible chance of winning anything then why bother?

If in Scotland we found ourselves over (say) the next q0 years of being unable to obtain enough financial muscle over a long enough period of time to get the quality of player and quality of manager that turned us into a title winning and cup winning side again then what might that do for the level of support for the Club?    Is sure as fuck will not help it and there are probably natural limits as to how long supporters are prepared to be content to dwell on past success while watch an inability to generate present-day success.    Point is, whether in Scotland or more widely in the UK or even more widely in Europe if the game becomes a case of only certain clubs are ever able to win trophies with the prospects for also-rans becoming more and more remote then change is bound to happen.   Because without it the game would be dying on its feet even if - for many clubs who get TV money - they'd be swilling in dosh.   Cash rich - trophy bankrupt.

Its not now though is it.   There's a fair way to go before the buffers are hit in the game in Scotland, the UK and in Europe and restructuring of leagues rolled out as part of the solution.    It may however be inevitable even if its a generation away.    First things first though...….an open question is whether our Board ever manage to have found enough money to get far better quality players and a good enough manager if its beyond Gerrard's time to enable us to win the league again?

When Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, and Tottenham leave for a European league. We’ll get invited into a watered down EPL.

100% my thoughts on likely outcome

The game was lost to money a long, long time ago. The biggest game of the season is now the championship playoff game. Now worth an estimated £100m.

I think there’s more chance of a two-tier European League, with us and them ( despite Liewell’s arse licking of all the major players and UEFA) being in the lower division.

The EPL don’t need us, there’s no place for massive travelling supports and gate money is becoming less important in comparison to sponsorship money.
