Ryan Kent ‘feels at home’ with Rangers

Recommended Posts

RYAN KENT is fed up being the loan Ranger.

Constant change in pursuit of happiness has brought about six clubs in five years for the far-travelled 22-year-old.

From Liverpool to Coventry, to Barnsley and Bristol, with an ill-fated spell at SC Frieburg in between.

Yet he’s never truly settled anywhere the way he has in Scotland.

Brought to Glasgow last summer, Kent capped an outstanding season with a nomination for both PFA Scotland Player of the Year and Young Player of Year.

The winger has excelled under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox, but admits he has no idea if the pair will be reunited next season.

Would love to get him permanently but they want stupid money so I would love to have at least another year on loan. He’s loving it playing for us. 👍

sad thing is that when you see Waghorn go for 7M then Liverpool may well get stupid money for Kent

Maybe we could do what I always used to do on Football Manager and sign him cheap but with ridiculous clauses like 50% of next sale goes to Liverpool or a low buy-back clause. Or £20m for 5 England caps.

The kid goes back down the road and ends telling them he's chucking it,as he is "fed up being sent out on loan"
They might as well play ball and sell us the kid,and not be too fuckin stupid with the asking price.
If this is where he wants to be,and nowhere else then we've knocked it off.

Hopefully a bit of common sense will prevail. We clearly want him. Gerrard desperately wants him. Kent is happy here and he doesn't seem to have any future at Liverpool.

Liverpool and teams in the EPL are awash with money. Hopefully they show a bit of goodwill towards Kent, Gerrard and us. Our relationship can only help. If we could get a deal at 5million I think that's pretty fair. Loan would be most likely if anything though. Would be delighted if he was here next season.

Shortlisted for SPFL Young Player of the Year will simply bump up his price and we have no chance of signing him - almost a certainty that he will be off. However, top English clubs looking at their young promising players will be keen to send them on loan to us, as we can develop them with title contention and European experience - something the likes of the Championship and Lg 1 clubs wouldn't be able to offer.

Actually praying that Liverppol cut us some sort of deal £5/6M  and we break the bank for him, can see him being part of a league winning side.

If we can get him for about £5m it would be money well spent. We'd at least double that in just a few seasons up here, more if we can get him playing in Europe every year

He's 22 - he's not going back and into that Liverpool squad.

He is a minor asset to them.  If he doesn't want to be sold he'll be back out on loan.

Anyone know when his Liverpool contract expires?

He's signed with Liverpool until 2022.

Another loan seems the most likely. Unless we can cut a deal. Offer them a transfer fee + future sell on.

I suppose a lot of it will be how much he really wants to be at Rangers.

Not fussy on Ryan Kent good/great in the games against teams that open up against us but not so good against teams that sit in slows the game down at times and final ball is still suspect.

He does have his off days, more than makes up for it though when he turns it on.
