Fast Track Notice of Complaint | Jonathon Flanagan, Player, Rangers FC

Player: Jonathon Flanagan, Player, Rangers FC

Match: Rangers FC v celtic FC Sunday 12 May 2019

Competition: Scottish Premiership

Disciplinary Rule allegedly breached: Disciplinary Rule 200 : Where any one of the sending off offences of (A1) serious foul play, (A2) violent conduct, and (A3) spitting at an opponent or any other person is committed by a player at a match, but that sending off offence was not seen by any of the match officials at the time that it was committed, the mandatory suspension for that sending off offence as provided for in Annex C of the Judicial Panel Protocol shall be applied to the player.

Any Fast Track Notice of Complaint alleging a breach of this Rule shall be Determined by a Fast Track Tribunal subject to the provisions of Section 13.

Fast Track Tribunal Hearing: Thursday 16 May 2019

WELL OBVIOUSLY THE INCIDENT WAS SEEN or he would not have received a yellow card.  WE MUST APPEAL - APPEAL

“Scott Brown has explained why Rangers’ Jon Flanagan avoided a red card in Sunday’s Old Firm derby, telling the Daily Record that referee Kevin Clancy did not believe the celtic skipper had been caught in the face by the defender’s arm”

There is also no way the footage shows JF catching anyone in the face.

Trial by media strikes again.

It seems like the CO will only act in incidents brought to her attention via Sky Sports or by Sportscene, and with their slanted viewpoint.

We should challenge this as it goes against their own rules on what can be sited, and really smacks of making the rules up as they go. Surely the referees must be feeling undermined as well, especially when they have dealt with the incident during the game and are then being refereed.

If we don't deal with it now, can you imagine what next season will be like when we mount a more serious challenge?

The system does need to change as at the moment there is no consistency, no parity.

Wether or not anyone agrees that the simunovic incident with Defoe needs looked at, it was similar to one's that we have been cited for and have received bans for, so should have at least been part of a conversation.

the way that the system is at the moment, it benefits one team only. A back to basics approach is needed in dealing with incidents and another show of balls by our club in challenging the system.

Good post and the highlighted part is very valid, surely it is something the refs cannot like.

Every time we question these incidents the response is always the same from the fenians in the sfa and media. Rangers are poor losers. They can't compete. They should look to their own failures instead of blaming others. Yada yada yada.

The sad reality is we are pissing in the wind when it comes to this corruption/cheating. The only way we will be able to stop this is if the other clubs join with us. And there is absolutely no fucking way the boards of the rest of the cunts up here are going to take our side. The bitter hate filled bastards that 'support' them will revolt in their droves.

Honestly fucking forget it. So corrupt it’s beyond a joke.

He gets booked during the game so matters resolved. Why has nothing happened to Brown throughout his WHOLE FUCKING career. Just against us he’s elbowed Miller, Holt x2 and Morelos and nothing.

Fenian fucking cunts. Sky and Sportscene aswell both of them can fuck off.

Get it off your chest mate. I fully agree.

Rangers have vowed to ‘vigorously defend’ Jon Flanagan at a Scottish FA hearing and called for ‘full transparency’ over the disciplinary process as they question why celtic defender Jozo Simunovic has escaped punishment for an alleged elbow on Jermain Defoe.

Reading that again it could have been lifted directly from comments in this thread.

I don’t think it’s a bad statement and if Rangers don’t get answers then the board should go nuclear on the cunts. Brown has got away with so much it’s fucking laughable. They’re corrupt to the core and the evidence is there for all to see. The ref took action so that should be end of story.

That is what I wanted to see, hope they take this as far as they can.

We need to fight fire with fire, even if it means indulging in whataboutery. They cunts from across the city have been doing it for years. To start to win this war we need to drag ourselves down to their level. It obviously works.
