Laudrup1984 25,100
Good words from Gough and great attitude from Katic. Regardless of your views on whether he shouldn't have been dropped, he should have played more there is little doubt in my mind he has come back bigger, better, stronger and hungrier not only physically but mentally too. Massive credit to Katic. Deserves a lot of praise. As Gough says he could be our centre half for many years to come. TopCat 4,511
Good to see Richard Gough take an interest in one of our most promising young players.... a legend like Goughs advice can only be a good thing for the development of an aspiring centre back like Niko...... should bolster his confidence no end too. Bobby Hume 13,036
Well done RG ..... good to see Katic has listened to the advice given freely .... hoping he kicks on next season as I agree with RG that Nico will be a winner with us.
We Will Follow Rangers 12,921
Couldn't think of a better candidate to help Katic become a top player and a proper Ranger, say a lot for him he was smart enough to turn to RG and learn from him. born a blue nose

Prso's headband 35,428
I find it amazing that he’s not talked about in the same breath as Ajer, McKenna and Souttar. He’s better than all 3 actually. Oh wait he plays for Rangers. Laudrup1984
DrLaudrup 4,599
Good read. Gough was always the top Rangers captain in my time watching us. Thought he was class on and off the park. Good to see him doing this. A defender for us couldn't ask for a better mentor than him.

RockwellGers 14,712
"FROM a chance meeting, a friendship has been formed. Neither knew much about the other at first, but Nikola Katic now has an appreciation of the past and Richard Gough has faith in the future." For some reason I heard this in my head read out like a movie trailer voiceover, in a really badass deep voice. Nice story anyway, great to hear! Jimfanciesthedude 24,540
If gough thinks the boy can be a star then we should be doing everything in our power to realise that, gough doesnt strike me as the type to use words and phrases as he does for anyone, he clearly sees katic as a big player, and who better to spot a future centre half star for Rangers than arguably our best ever one
