He'll be too good for that league. The boy has pace to burn and an eye for goal. Just needs to vary his game a bit but he'll do well at some club in the future

Pace to burn is easy stopped , defenders get tight to Glenn and it’s game over , he’s had a bit more success in Europe with more space , but he’s easy stopped in the British game as he as no trick or skill to get past an opponent , head doon runs to the bye line and 99% of the time hits the full back jockeying him arse or puts in a shocker of a cross , he’ll still be playing the same way when he’s 29 , we’ve seen this type of player time and time again , it doesn’t work at Rangers coz there’s never 50 yards of space in behind for players like Glenn to run after the ball , everything’s to feet that’s where he toils

he is absolutely rapid. He is a well balanced player that can beat a man and he has an alright finish for a winger. Regular gametime can improve his all round game and hopefully playing in a more open league rather than compact, 10 men behind the ball type defences. Hopefully he can be utilised in a no.10 role during his loan so we can see if he develops for us to use him there.

He’s rapid agree , but that’s it , and unfortunately at Rangers that’s easy stopped as there’s never the space , he can’t beat a man mate , disagree on that one

The challenge of Rovers is they will be pushing for promotion this season as they just missed out to Charlton.

That brings a differebt kind if pressure, the pressure to win every week because it's expected (sound familiar) but in a league that's also "robust" and will teach him the tricks of his trade that he's still to learn through playing every week.

He's too good to be playing reserve football & he won't get the challenge required at St Johnstone or the like where they're happy to tread water.

Don’t get these loans to lower league English clubs.

Get him at Aberdeen, Hearts or Hibs in the league where we actually play and can see if he’s good enough for it.

Would also help take points off the tarriers as well as not being able to play against us.

😂😂 can you imagine the hate he would have to take from both sets of fans week in week out.

League 1 is arguably a better standard than SPFL anyway.

It’s not about standard it’s about being able to see if he can compete in the league we play in.

Fuck the other teams in our league. We shouldn’t be helping cunts like Hibs and Aberdeen in any way.

Honestly think it’s more about being able to cope with playing for us and we won’t know that until he gets an extended run in the first team. If he can shine in league 1 then he can shine in the SPFL

He wouldn’t  get a minutes piece from the hate filled scum in scotland, I would’ve gave Motherwell Hastie back for next season but we saw the stick he faced after he had signed his pre contract with us. The same as Jones faced at Killie.

It takes more than pace now. If that’s all it took we’d have 10 O’Hallorans outfield. Top players now needs to have far more in their locker. Stamina, strength, end product etc. Middleton showed it in flashes last season and clearly has potential. Now he needs to work on his consistency. He’ll never make it here if he has one good game in 4-5. Rangers players need to be on it 95% of the time.

It seems a carefully chosen club. Get him out of the SpL where he’d be kicked by jealous players and still in the goldfish bowl. Get him playing regularly for a club that is likely challenging for promotion, to hopefully start to build that consistency.

Do you think loan deals actually help players focus as well? You sign for Rangers, you see the stadium, the fan base, the players, the training and staff facilities... then you go on loan to Hull.

Personally, it would make me not  want to be playing for a team like Hull permanently and you'd start to think - if I don't knuckle down this could be the type of team I have to settle for.

Worked for Barrie McKay.
