In a few weeks he will be linked to Newcastle as they will be looking for a new manager in a few weeks.  It’s always going to happen.

Currently 33/1 with the bookies. Couple of bets, odds drop and story about him being a favourite.

You can see it coming.

imagine Geordie and Scouse conversation, that would be a multi-lingual disaster,  a translator's dream job.

Yeah we do but that isn’t going to make Liverpool want to appoint Gerrard.

They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are expected to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League every season. Taking a chance on a manager who has only managed in Scotland would be a massive risk for them and ballsy as hell. They won’t do it until he proves himself capable in another major league first.

Seems that Chelsea are about to try to disprove your point by appointing Lampard who has had one season managing n the Championship

Chelsea are under a transfer embargo and not in a great position at all, that's the only reason he is getting it

Even accounting for  a transfer embargo (had to google that) they are a huge club taking a shot with an experienced manager

Lol

6th wealthiest club n the Europe (Forbes 2019)

Two premier leagues - Two Europa Leagues and a Champions League plus two FA cup all in the last 7 years

As far as a global brand and this is anecdotal but from my own experience across 47 countries --- theirs is one of the most common tops on the global market.

So huge club - yes.

Not to mention a billionaire as an owner.  Sure if we played in the PL we might be bigger but we don't. Chelsea is a massive club.

He's being linked with Newcastle this morning saying he's on a 3 man shortlist with Viera & Arteta

see Dyche has also been linked. would be a better appt IMO. Would love him here if SG did go in the future.
