The first thought that came into my head was that this story is a load of shite. It says that Gerrard rejected an approach, which if true means that Derby illegally tapped our manager, because Gerrard can't even talk to any club unless our club give them permission to approach him, which under no circumstance is liable to happen.

It's possible derby made an enquiry to the club first who then advised Gerrard of the approach.

True, but it is not a bad way to break the circle of no silverware. Let's also not forget it was only one point for the Prem title so he has lifted the club hugely.
