Kilmarnock’s New Pitch

Recommended Posts

Was just reading this article regarding Kilmarnock laying a new high spec pitch with interest as we play then on the opening weekend.

Is anyone involved in this industry?

Wonder if it’ll be much of an improvement on the bombs site of a pitch they had before.

Was down at Cappielow when mates grandson was playing for his boys club there. Despite it being the end of the season the grass pitch was in great nick. So surely if Morton can have a grass pitch then teams in the Premiership can too.

State of them acting as if it's great that they have this because Ajax and Barcelona have pitches like it at their training grounds

Get grass you cheap bastards

Agreed mate. Pitches should be grass in the top division.

Probably the best time to play them, they wont be as used to the change in performance from last seasons pitch. Its supposed to be a lot closer to grass than other artificial pitches as its a different construction.

Is their shitty plastic pitch allowed for European games?

Not that they’ll play that many

I think they’ve been forced to upgrade their pitch due to European qualification.  I don’t think they could’ve participated in Europe with the pitch they had and so they’ve forked our for this new one.

Also, in terms of grass.  Kilmarnock did have a grass pitch at one point but the locals complained about the noise of upkeep.  Apparently, even the noise of blowing hot air on to the grass pitch at night was causing complaints.

I hate Killie

They're such a small annoying as fuck looking tinpot club with virtually no support.

Tbh the same goes for nearly every club in Scotland, I hate how bad almost all of their grounds look and just how few fans they have.

The likes of Dundee or Hamilton's grounds even, they are so fucking horrible looking

Getting vibes that you don't like the look of them here lol
