That's what I mean, they'll get 2 weeks and return for 2nd round I reckon

More likely to only get a fortnight off.

Their fitness will be fine.

Gerrard confirmed him and Arfield had 3 weeks off before start of tournaments.

Both will go straight into training.

That'll be why they were both allowed to miss the last game of the season... to create some time for a break for them.

Katic/Arfield got a week less off overall than most of the squad whilst having to deal with competitive football this month.

Both should without question get a short break after the tournaments. I'd give both nearly 3 weeks off and get Katic back involved against Marseille. Arfield the Derby friendly.

Both are key players and don't want fitness to be an issue for either in a crucial month in December.

Katic and Arfield left the squad the day of the Old Firm game in order to give then an extra weeks holiday.

I think there’s a strong possibility Katic is better than Benkovic.  The Croatian U21 manager seems to like Katic more than Benkovic.  Considering the price we got Katic for that’s an absolute bargain.

Katic's arrived in Portugal. No holidays for the big man.

He got 3 weeks off at the end of the season. That’s why he missed Kilmarnock game same with Arfield

I think it was more like one week. Anyway, I'm glad he's there as I'm sure he is.

Gerrard said in one of his interviews he gave him 3 weeks of so he would be coming straight back after international duty
