Anyone pointed out on here that Aribo is predominantly left footed?

Provides a fantastic and much needed balance to the midfield.

With Jones, Helander, Halliday, Barisic,  Aribo and now Barker being left footed there is no need to play round pegs in square holes which is something we have been guilty of for a long long time.

Genuinely didn’t realise Jones is left footed

Aribo has everything in him to be some player, he's really impressed me in flashes with some of his play, I'm buzzing to see how he does this season. Been choking for a 15+ center mid since maybe Barry?

I think he could be the man

(I know Barry only did it once)

Classy player he really is such a classy footballer.

Goals from midfield and from outside the box, up and down the pitch every game, always wants the ball and hardly loses it.

All round very good footballer

The way he keeps the ball and seems to lose his man with ease is great to watch.  Likes a crack at goal, can actually see him getting into double figures for the year.

I am trying not to get too excited, as coulibally really excited me in his first month here, and what a let down he was ( is he still on our books btw?) but it's pretty hard not to get excited watching him play. He seems to just ooze class.

Coulibaly was a loan and is back with Angers I think it was.

He’s not. Don’t even think Barker is tbh.

I watched a few Brandon Barker you tube 5 minute efforts, he is predominantly left footed but is capable on his right, most of the clips had him on the left.

I might have made a cunt of it.

He's always stuck me as left footed but watching a highlight reel he seems to be very two footed.

Bottom line is he, and Barker and Aribo are very comfortable on their left  so no more HGV type turning circles in order to keep the bell on right peg.

Barker is right footed.

He looks equally as comfortable with both, there is a you tube that shows all aspects of his game, in the goals section there is about 16 ish goals and they are nearly an equal split with the left and right, the ones when he is through on the goalie 1 to 1 he favours his right, but most of his attacking is on the left wing and he can go both inside and outside the defender,

To be honest, I struggled to tell what he was which is even better. Can go either side of a defender and shoot across keeper or cut in and bend one round. He scored 9 with his right and 7 with his left in his YouTube highlights.

Point I was trying to make is that we now seem to have players who are comfortable on the left side of the pitch and fill CB, LB, LM and LW positions.

Charlton fans still not let it go, by the looks of things: https://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/84908/joe-aribo#latest

One guy even used Sunday's scudding as evidence to suggest Aribo had made the wrong decision to come up here, as if he'd really be testing himself a great deal more against household clubs like, er, Wigan, QPR, Reading, Barnsley, Luton Town, Hull City and of course, the team he should have chosen over us, the mighty Brentford. Let's not forget we've seen Blackburn and Derby this season (and Wigan last year, who we also thumped) and although of course only friendlies, they're not exactly Brazil.

Weird snootiness for fans of such a club.

We should invite them up for a game of thumping. They would quickly change their tune.

I know it's only one guy on the internet but ffs that forum has more than its fair share of football illiterates....

I don't even pretend not to be bitter about Aribo, not because he left us. But the fact he went to a club that i'm fairly confident we would beat. Backwards move for him, wish he would've gone to Saints, Villa etc.

The difference is, Aribo has a spine.

😂 what the fuck have Charlton ever achieved in football?

They are reaping the benefits of the premier league becoming a billionaires playground by feeding off the financial scraps that trickle down through the worlds most overrated league that is the championship.

The move is the right move for Joe because he probably wants to play in front of a packed passionate crowd, with real pressure on his shoulders and jump into the European shop window, none of which he will get at no marks in league one.
