We didn’t mate, it was only the technical area we replaced the rest of it is still the same.

I was under the impression we were doing the lot, but if that's the case have they built the new pitch higher than the old one because the sideline being inches away from the perimeter has been that way since season 2014-15 at least.

That's because it's never been so close to the pitch. It was quite clearly a result of him standing on the join/surface change.

Mate, that sideline has been that close since season 2014-15.

Any bear who has ever been to ibrox training for FFIT will tell you that the astro area is full of covers for cable ducts, isolators for under soil heating, sockets, pipe covers etc - all requirements for a top club in the 21st century am afraid. These all get lifted and replaced several times before and after matches or during ground maintenance, so to have this area turfed is impractical.

People arent wanting the full track side turfed , they just think it would be better if the turf ran 1 ft or so after the sideline instead of the joint being almost on the sideline

Thought it was the whole track side as well but no.

I think the grass gives off an optical illusion that the pitch is a few inches higher than the Astro, if the Astro was refilled and standing up you wouldn’t notice any height difference.

Was in this morning and it looks like they are addressing this. They have ripped up a couple of foot of the artificial surface and are laying turf.

Any idea how the players new pre match restaurant is coming along ?
