He compliments SG well in these situations. Without hesitating, he is able to communicate freely and sensibly in the ‘Rangers’ way - he really gets it. If it wasn’t for Tav in the driving seat, there could be no better candidate for captain. He said Mcpake is in the plans for tomorrow as well. Also wants a squad of about 23 or 24 players. Wonder if that might see the likes of Hastie/Murphy out on loan to get game time? Probably missed someone (McPake, Mayo etc) but that’s pretty much the squad, assuming no Kent. Looks strong (except possibly cover at RB) and a huge improvement on recent seasons. Lets go! Big guy behind me on Sunday was telling his pals Hastie had texted him on Sunday morning to say he wasn’t playing today but training and was in the team for Thursday. Pinch of salt.
