KILMARNOCK stars have held crisis talks after a nightmare start to Angelo Alessio’s managerial reign.

SunSport can reveal leading players have raised private concerns over the way Alessio is running the club.

Chief executive Kirsten Robertson became the latest key figure to leave when she quit on Thursday.

Her departure follows those of fitness coach Andy White and recruitment chief Tony Spearing, who went in the summer.

Clarke’s No 2 Alex Dyer and goalie coach Billy Thomson have also had their roles and responsibilities changed since the Italian took charge.

Alessio’s only competitive games so far saw Killie knocked out of the Europa League by Welsh part-timers Connah’s Quay Nomads.

They haven’t played any other fixtures ahead of next Sunday’s Premiership opener at home to Rangers, other than friendlies against local amateur and junior teams.

Now it is understood that senior pros are considering approaching chairman Billy Bowie to make known their growing worries.

Bowie hailed former Chelsea and Juventus No 2 Alessio as “the best manager in Scotland” when he appointed him on a three-year deal only last month.

But the Europa League shambles, in which Killie let slip a 2-1 first-leg lead when beaten 2-0 at home, has set alarm bells ringing.

Killie and hundreds of fans lost out financially after booking transport and accommodation for a second-round clash with Partizan Belgrade in Serbia.

It blew a hole in their pre-season plans, which are being led by Alessio, new coach Massimo Donati, goalie coach Marco Garofalo and fitness guru Ross Hughes.

Might end up with the full ground

Far too many gifts in this article!!

"Best manager in Scotland"

the fact that the club actually made travel arrangements for the next round after a 2-1 win only to get fucked out 😂

And Massino fucking Donati on the coaching team!

For me that's the Mark of a diddy club tbh.

I'd imagine most would have in place, an itinery and flights on standby etc for booking as soon as you're through but not actually paying it
