It surprises me that Fod has hung around actually. He’s probably good enough to be a number one somewhere in the championship or something and still get decent money. He seems happy enough to sit on his arse watching from the bench every week.

He gets to play in the league cup and knows he is an injury ( or suspension ) away from playing in front go 50k every second week. That's hard to walk away from. And also, he is more than capable enough to perform and he knows it.

Tend to agree. Was definitely up there.

Mind you Lee Hodson was good that day too 😂

Edit: Wattereus at celtic Park in 05 and McGregor in Bremen are the only others that stick in my memory.

Too young to remember all of Goram’s classics.

Edit 2: Goram away at Aberdeen in 92/93.

Wattereus was a cracking keeper. Much preferred him to Klos.

Good luck to him. Hopefully makes the move permanent as he's clearly not going to make it here.

Would have been a better 2nd choice keeper than Foderingham IMO but we don't seem to have anyone trying to take him off our hands and we can't keep them all.

In what way is Alnwick a better back-up to MacGregor than Fod? Fod is the better keeper, and didn't cause any apparent issues last year after being dropped from no.1.

Alnwick is a competent keeper and better than a no.3 goalie, so good luck to him. But I'm glad it's him that's away and not Fod.

Is there any reason every one of our fringe players end up at Blackpool?

Probably because its a well they have went to before and got good return for. We are clearly happy that some of the wages are picked up especially for players that have not long term future.

I agree, we are gradually getting  wages off the books for players that will not feature for us.
