Scum doing what scum do. A team and support like no other.

Rangers Women players 'targeted for sectarian abuse' by Green Brigade during celtic clash

By Mark Hendry  @mhendry92

Rangers will offer more protection to their women's team after they were allegedly subjected to 'sectarian abuse' by green  brigade last weekend.

The celtic fan group packed into East Kilbride's K-Park on Sunday afternoon to take in celtic Women vs Rangers Women in the SWPL.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers claim their players were targeted by fans in the home section as Celts won 3-1.

And now the Glasgow giants have told how they are willing to consider introducing tighter security at matches.

A spokesperson for the club told the publication: "Our women were subjected to misogynistic and sectarian abuse, which is totally unacceptable.

"Perhaps security measures need to be introduced for Rangers women when they have a match away from home against celtic."

We exclusively told how green  brigade watched their team win the league spoils on Sunday and brought with them banners and flags after watching their men's team batter St Johnstone 7-0 one day earlier.

celtic have been approached for comment.

Scum being scum. Their depravity knows no bounds.

If it were the other way around it would be front page news.

Liewell in full voice levelling all sorts of sectarian and sexist abuse and us the devil incarnate. Calling for police action and punishment from the authorities.

Meanwhile back in our boardroom, silence!

You called it right B A, it is time for the board to become more vocal against these barstwarts

What would or could a strong, powerful, tradition-defending, fighting for earned respect Rangers Board do in the controversial football circumstances the Club has found itself experiencing in recent years and now even this early in the season?

What does the current Board do?   Appease.

The only issues and fights the current Board seem to have any appetite for are legal fights.  Which they keep on losing.  Losing spectacularly.

They're good at losing legal fights and good at appeasing the other clubs in Scottish football and appeasing the football authorities.    Its the only way of working they seem to know.      Appeasement disguised as a form of dignified silence or restrained comment.   Even when words are spoken they tend to be ineffective and in some cases (eg company secretary recently) untruthful.     But they are all-powerful; untouchable and cannot be held to any sort of proper and meaningful account for their actions (and inactions).    They are masters of all they survey at Rangers.  There for as long as they want to be there.    Shareholders cannot shift them any more and the Support in general would not be able to influence them.

A strong, powerful, tradition-defending, fighting for earned respect Rangers Board.       Many may say 'yes they are'.  And many may say 'no they are not'.    But blah, blah, blah - they don't need to care or listen: they have the power and the privilege and are untouchable.   Absolute and untouchable power is the cosy position they have constructed for themselves.

Very much my sentiments.

You know, if our board were as evil dastardly bastards as theirs, we could absolutely destroy them PR wise with the truth, but instead we let our enemy do well in trying to destroy us with lies.

When Liewell gets round to speaking out on  this, I have no doubt this incident will be spun that we were the bigger bad guys and possibly they were just innocents in it all and it was all us and every gullible and hater in the land will lap it up.

We get led by conniving incompetents more interested in their self preservation and appeasing our haters. Defending, protecting or enhancing our brand, including our fans, just isn't on their radar. I can only hazard to guess as to why this glaring vacuum in such a strategically important business space.

Just beggars belief tbh.

The Board seem to be  losing touch with the support at an even more alarming rate than ever.

It’s now becoming normal when you hear (or more likely don’t hear) from them that you just wander what the fek is actually going on in the boardroom.

The tone adopted in the recent smartcard letters is poor to say the least, the kind of tone we would love them to adopt with our enemies yet they fire out to the ones closest to them.

I dare say this is the image they pitched Gerrard, considering the football club he grew up with. You have to wonder what he'll be thinking about this board.
