We never seem to do many games where a good first half is matched or bettered by a good 2nd half. We'll see in this game whether we can keep up the level of intensity and get some more goals, or whether the pressure of only having a single goal lead after all that effort proves to be too much. it'll go a fair way to indicating how the team will handle pressure this season, and a fair way to indication how Gerrard responds. There is a very long way to go in this game...…...a long way caused yet again by a failing to convert enough chances into goals. Flanagan in particular just seems to stop concentrating and gets lazy in everything he does. On the positive Jones looks a much better player than I ever imagined.
