Timing of the statement

I mean, evidently not.

If you walk down any street in Scotland and sing Fk the pope, the Billy Boys, or other songs about Fenians then the chances are you will be arrested (assuming anyone can see a policeman these days).  People video such  actions and report them to the Police or send the evidence to the papers to post online.

Another point about the timing of this statement. The draw for the EL group stage takes place on Friday (i think) if the club remained quiet until UEFA made a decision (which the club appears to think will be an away ban), if we qualify, fans would book travel etc and then potentially have to cancel.

And since when have the board given the slightest fuck about the fans?

The board really fucked up by not declaring weeks and weeks ago of the UEFA charge. We now face a possible 2nd charge due to their inability to competently interact with the support. If further action results in additional stadium area closures the board's seats should be the first in line to go.

In all fairness regardless of the boards timing of the statement we’ve known all along since 2006 that the billy boys especially and any FTP songs could land the club in hot water.

Grown men should be wise enough to know this by now- the fans can’t blame the board for this 2nd charge, it’s been in the rules now for 13 years.   It’s like speeding down a road with mobile cameras- most times you get away with it but then you get caught and because your pal drove down the same road and didn’t warn you- you then blame your pal.   And now we see fans talking about fights with uefa! Love to see how this would pan out

Disgraceful

On the eve of the biggest game of our season we release that.

Unless I'm missing something did we really need to do it tonight?

Gerrard will be fucking raging

You don’t speak for Steven Gerrard.  Gerrard was in the media a few days ago asking the fans to stop singing these songs.  He backs the board 100%.

We're not winning a fight with UEFA mate. Get that idea out of your head soon as.

Agree. I was meaning people realising there's a concerted effort against us, and we will have to resort to similar methods to fight back.
