Flanagan injury

Recommended Posts

Rangers full-back Jon Flanagan has undergone surgery and will be out of the first team for the near future, according to reports.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Flanagan, 26, received a hernia operation on Monday after the Old Firm derby at Ibrox the day before.

This is the second time that Flanagan has had hernia surgery this season, after previously sitting out Rangers' Europa League qualifier against St Joseph's at the beginning of the campaign.

On that occasion, Flanagan was ruled out for three weeks but is currently unclear how long the former Liverpool defender will be out for after his most recent operation.

Makes it even more baffling that we didn't go for a left back in the window if Flanagan has already had surgery this season

Clearly Borna is lacking in confidence and while people haven't given up on him, he is now flung in again with games against Feyenoord, Aberdeen & Young Boys coming in the next 3/4 weeks aswell as the quarter final of the cup

If he cant lock down the position in these games then we need to be looking for a 1st choice left back come January and move him on

Disappointed about this for sure, he maybe isn't half the footballer Barisic could potentially be but he has 10 times the heart for it. He always gives you all hes got which is not something that barisic seems wiling to do. Him, davis and mcgregor were the only 3 to come out of last sunday with anywhere near pass marks. Just got to hope Barisic can step up to the plate and find a bit of bottle cos I think he has the ability.

Flanno was our only star of the game bar McGregor who stopped it being four or five and more embarrassing expect to see Stewart Robertson in a picture at his bedside with a bouquet of flowers.

More likely be Gerrard, he was the one who hailed Flanagan as the second coming of Christ on Sunday.

Barasic hasn't done much wrong the last few games. He hasn't done what he can going forward either, signs he is getting his confidence back with the goal and some forward runs - unlucky with the head knock against Legia. Hopefully he plays well for Croatia and brings that with him going forward. Got two months to make the spot his own!

We bought a player who looks to cross the ball anytime he's past the half way line he looks up see's nothing on and pases back the way then gest booed the small strikers we have do not really match the balls he can deliver as they are often marked by giants.

It's a nonsense religion should play no part in football, it's like they want to be seen doing it.
