He got 5 reds and 2 or 3 rescinded and the one of the others was iffy

I thought the only one rescinded was the opening day against Aberdeen. Annoys me when people say he got 5 red cards because really he only got 4. The league agreed he was given one in error.

He has become a phenomenal talent and one of the most integral parts of the team at only 23. I wanted him gone after the debacle at the piggery but he has come on leaps and bounds. He has scored against pretty much everyone and in big European games, not just against the teams in qualifying.  Once he gets that one missing goal then even the media here cannot debate his true value.

Was surprised on here when folk were laughing at a comment about him being as good as Jelavic a wee while ago. Certainly up there with him for me

I think he has to win something first and score against them.

Love the wee man. I suspect two things based on nothing more than gut instinct;

1) the way Gerrard thinks of him they’ll both be at Liverpool together one day

2) selling him in the summer was the deal Gerrard made with the board to secure the signing of Kent

I see the thinking behind 1) - but a bit of a massive long shot, nothing is gaurenteed in football whatsoever. Alfredo will probably need to go elsewhere in England before he he has a look in at Liverpool. Also, Gerrard may be several years away from getting that job if at all.

2) makes sense based on the economic position we are in. Board will probably be looking to recover investment soon, particularly after last weeks financial announcement.
