BEE 4,568 Posted November 8 ...finish that sentence as I’m struggling to. Reckon even though he’s not done it against the tims yet he’s surpassed Jelavic. BridgeIsBlue, DiamondDan, cascadeshrimp and 1 other like this
SIRB_72 927 Posted November 8 I love Jelavic but Morelos has surpassed him! BigBearButt and Goianegra like this
simplythebestest 825 Posted November 8 In my opinion, after recent months, he's left Jelavic in his dust. I'm not one of the older bears on here so I can't vouch for the pre McCoist days, but in the last 25 years he's got to be top 5.

.Williamson. 35,109 Posted November 8 I used to argue Jelavic was better than him but this season I don't think I feel that way anymore. His form just now is incredible ForeverAndEver, BridgeIsBlue, DiamondDan and 17 others like this
Gandalf the Blue 1,074 Posted November 8 Yeah Jelavic was our last striker of real quality, but the wee man has surpassed him. First Ranger to score in 3 consecutive European ties since Novo 12 years ago I seen also WATP-FOREVER likes this
gersfc86 25 Posted November 8 If we were to name our best 5 strikers as far back as the Advocaat era you would have to say Morelos is in theyre for his overall contribution to the team.
MurrayWilson 934 Posted November 8 Since McCoist, for me there is no question. You could argue that Jelavic and Prso were as good as players but just look at his numbers. He scores every type of goal as well. Screamers, tap ins, headers the lot. He has improved his all round game no end in the last year and just seems to get better and better. dande101 720 Posted November 8 McCoist when it comes to finishing and Prso when it comes to work rate and passion. Blumhoilann likes this

dougal72 1,159 Posted November 8 Would probably say Prso just now but he has the potential to be better than all of them including McCoist. Unfortunately it probably wont be with us.

BridgeIsBlue 39,695 Posted November 8 I was too young to remember McCoist as a player, seen Mols, Prso, Boyd, Miller and Jelavic all in the flesh but Alfredo is a level above all of them now in my opinion. You need to remember the boy's only 23,it's actually quite frightening when you think how good is he going to be in 5 years time when he's in his prime. GaryMc 753 Posted November 8 Purely on ability and potential I'd say Morelos is better than Jelavic however he did lead us to winning trophies which we would not have won without him in my opinion. If Morelos helps us to silverware this season then I'd say he's our best striker since Prso.
GersInCanada 723 Posted November 8 We won a watch with Alfredo and I don't think that comparisons are valid until he is older. He is on target to become our best striker ever.
Inigo 19,488 Posted November 8 Mols and Prso did it at the top table, CL and/or international. Morelos needs to do that before he can be seen as that level, brilliant as he is. Prso and Mols were technically better players and I still think both were better all round players as things stand. Morelos can get there though. We saw Prso and Mols at their mature peak. Dado'sMulls 991 Posted November 8 Alfredo is a better player than Prso and by some way imo. I always rated Jelavic above them both but Morelos has edged ahead for me now, he's incredible. I can't even think of a striker we've had in the past that you can compare to Morelos in terms of playing style, he's one of a kind.
archangel gabriel amato 131 Posted November 8 Was talking to the father in law about this last night and I actually think he is now at a level where he is slightly better than Prso and getting to a Mols before the injury level. SIRB_72 927 Posted November 8 People mentioning Prso. I do remember the last time we beat Porto at Ibrox he, imo, literally won us that game on his own. He didn't just do it that night, for a player with so many injury issues he seemed to drag us through so many games! DietofWorms 1,709 Posted November 8 For me...despite his size...he's as influential as Hateley. He can occupy and bully a whole defence. MurrayWilson likes this
