The issue was smoke inhalation. Casualties were mostly elderly or asthma sufferers.

That’s ok then. If they are old or asthmatic they don’t count. Tossers with flares need banning.

Why is it when we travel we are asked to take passports everywhere and in some instances with us to the ground? Why does that appear to not be the case for fans visiting here?

The main issue is the reluctance of the cops to enter the crowd. Look at my pic above - onrs at the front were only a few rows from the cops yet they are ordered to take no action for some reason?
