Have we been sussed

When we last played the Bheasts they kicked for touch rugby style fromKO, then played a high pressing game right in our face. We didn’t like it and struggled to get into any rhythm. Feyenoord did the same and second half last night saw the sheep do the same.

I think OP's right sadly.

When we get pressed our defence wobbles, the midfield get jittery because they don't have confidence in what's behind them, and then we start to scramble in our own box.

Tav's "good games" come when he's got a bit of space to work in. Goldson's good games come when teams sit back.

As plenty have already said on here, we sorely miss having a proper leader on the park.

No.

Tarriers and sheep we played into their hands and made it a shite game, booting the ball up the park, no composure etc.

Our problem is believing in ourselves that we are a better footballing team when we concede goals, we just start retreating and play the way the opposition wants.

Dropping points last night had fuck all to do with tactics it was mentality.

We shat it.

Don’t disagree about mentality but tactics or the lack of them cost us the game. We are used to teams parking the bus, so our defense get plenty of time on the ball, when we’re facing a high press we seem to struggle for ideas.

Before the hearts game I said we have to play our own game, on the deck, last night the ball spent more time in the clouds than on  the grass, we played the game the way they wanted us to last night.

Right but that wasn’t our tactics as laid out by our manager. That’s what our weak minded players resorted to.

Our tactics are the first 35 minutes.

Aberdeen were booting lumps out of us for those first 35 and our tactics and style of play coped easily with it.

The only thing that changed in last nights game was our mentality.

This team has too many perennial losers in it and not enough born winners. Starting with the guy holding the captains armband and the guy who is proclaimed as vice captain.

Gerrard is a born winner but if he can’t recognise weak minded people he will struggle in management.

When your backline plays as badly as that it saps the confidence out of the rest of the team , we were flying last night till the 2 big lassies fucked up , again.

Gerrard is partly to blame here , he is never going to drop 3/4 of this squad no matter how bad they play , where as others have 1 bad game and are not seen for months.

We dont stand a chance at the weekend with that backline but will go into the game with the same 3/4 players in the team. We have 2 otherCBs who for whatever reason are not even given a chance by this manager , why the fuck was he allowed to buy Edmondson ?

The taigs score early and it could be a romp because this gutless shower are never going to be up for the fight...........

We contributed to their 1st chance at the start of the 2nd half by making mistakes in possession allowing them to chase us down, simple really we have to manage the ball better in deeper lying areas of the park.....Kamara is our go to guy in situations like last night but he was benched, watching Goldson,  Helander & Flanagan try and pass the ball between themselves Jack & Davis was heart in the mouth material,  the aforementioned 3s lack of confidence is what led to Aberdeen having us pegged back for about 10mins....to suggest they had us pegged back for the whole 2nd half is nonsense

This is exactly what people mean when they talk about panic merchants and over reactions.

Panic merchants my arse , that game last night could have cost us the league. They dont look like dropping points to anybody , we had to win every game.

Its the same pricks that cost us every time and this manager is doing fuck all about it.........

You are missing my point completely.

It’s unquestionably a shite result that could have a massive baring on the title, no cunt is denying that, but we didn’t drop points last night because teams have sussed us out or because every player in our team has turned into a fucking shite player overnight and that’s the type of stuff you read on here time and time again after any poor result. After every poor result people come on here and act like they want to throw the baby out with the bathwater and it’s a fucking nonsense.

Last night we completely fucked it for ourselves by becoming complacent when we thought we had the game won after half an hour and that complacency leading to lazy mistakes. It was nothing to do with Aberdeen “sussing us out”.

Dont agree , we were flying last night until the 4 clowns at the back collapsed again , this destroys any confidence we were building. Its happened before and will happen again with this backline. All our strong teams in the past had a solid backline and that breeds confidence , with this mob its the exact opposite. How the fuck can your captain run about shouting or try to motivate players when he fucks up almost every week. We badly need a leader on the park , i can think of half a dozen captains we have had in the past that would have slaughtered everyone in that team when they equalized.

We are weak and gutless and i include the manager in that , and they papish bastards will know how to hurt us..........

Disagree, Tarriers absolutely played in a way that fucked us, although Gerrard’s team never helped at all

The four muppets across the back line were/Are simply not good enough.

Can't argue with any of that.

And then comes the denial and deflection!

Lack of tactics? Sorry what could the manager have done better during the first howler we gave away?

2nd starts from conceding a fuckin stupid throw in dropping a runner then our cb standing in no mans land with his hands up ffs. Defend and argue the point later. Goldson should know better

Hearts away and Aberdeen we allowed ourselves to be sucked into their type of game.

That shouldn’t be happening.

This.

They didn't raise their game we dropped our game to their level.

Big difference and simply not good enough.

Spot on. When the gaffer took Kent off for Katic it was just a big exclamation mark on our whole night and summed it up.
