Post Match Interviews

Love Stevie Gerrard. Think he’s got all the makings of being a successful manager.

He tells the story of the game like I’ve seen it.

He’s still sticking by the players, picking them up and trying to better them mentally and physically. The players owe him a trophy.

Tavernier’s interview does sober you after the emotions of the game.

An offside goal, a keeper in inspired form, and a generally good performance from us is the reality of the game. They got the goal that we couldn’t get, and it should not have counted. We had the chances to take the lead but their goalkeeper and our finishing didn’t allow us to do so on this occasion.

Its hard because it’s so soon after the game, but this is one that hurts so bad because it seemed an unlikely outcome on the basis of the game. They’ve won the cup by having three players offside, it was one that should have been seen by the officials.

Spot on.

If there’s one set of fans in world football that deserve a break, it’s us.

Never seem to have any luck unlike those scumbag bastards who are fuckin’ haunted.

I've never understood this mentality that the minute a team gains a man advantage that they are automatically expected to win the game, score the penalty and their tactics have to be different then you should be able to manage the game better.....in truth tho when you are defending a lead you tend to sit deeper with every player behind the ball....the reality is you don't have an extra player as you will never push you centre backs that far up the pitch

They owe us, no one else.

Nope.

He said it himself...emotions are still raw at the moment.

When the dust settles, we’ll realise that we were the better side over the 90 minutes and we were undone by an offside goal, some dodgy officiating and came up against Lurch who had the game of his life.

Feel sorry for all the boys we should have won that today luck just wasn’t with us the intent was there from the start and we pretty much dominated the full game hopefully we can put a performance in on Thursday and get qualification
